How to make 4 different Floral cards

posted in: Blog, Janet 0

I want some quick and easy to make cards to show you how easy it is to use this stamp set by Altenew.  Also I wanted to try out my watercolouring.  Using the no line stamping technique so these flowers wouldn’t have a harsh black outline.  All the supplies I used to create these four cards are listed at the bottom of this post.Beautiful-Lady-Altenew

PINK HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Stamping

Colouring

  • Using pink, red and light pink Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers to colour the flower petals. Then light green for the leaves. The stem was a light green softened with water.

Diecutting

  • When the panel was dry I use the rectangle die by Lawn Fawn to give the edge a faux stitched border.
  • I use a larger die to cut out from the same die set (5×4.25) from light mauve cardstock.  For the back of the flower panel.
  • Partially cut the flower to leave a small border.  Adhere this panel with foam tape to the mauve panel to raise the image and give dimension.

Sentiment

  • I made a small banner by using the Avery Elle Banner Die set. Then stamped Happy Birthday from the same set in the centre of the banner.

Finishing The Card

  • Half of the banner is adhered to the flush card using tombow glue.  While the right hand side of the banner has foam tape, to make it all one level.
  • The panel is then adhered to the card base with my ATG tape gun.
  • I place a few sequins by Pretty Pink Posh to complete this card.

  • I use a larger die to cut out from the same die set (5.5×4.25).  To give the brown cardstock faux stitching, for the back of the flower panel.
  • I partially cut the flower to leave a small border, then adhere this panel with foam tape to the brown panel to raise the image and give dimension.

Sentiment

  • I make a small banner by using the Avery Elle Banner Die set. Then stamp Happy Birthday from the same set in the centre of the banner. The front half of the banner was adhered using foam tape.  For the rest I used tombow glue, to make it all one level.
