How to make 4 different Floral cards

posted in: Blog, janet 0

I want some quick and easy to make cards to show you how easy it is to use this stamp set by Altenew.  I also wanted to try out my watercolouring.  I used the no line stamping technique so these flowers wouldn’t have a harsh black outline.  All the supplies I used to create these four cards are listed at the bottom of this post.Beautiful-Lady-Altenew PINK HAPPY BIRTHDAY

  • I stamped the image of the Beautiful Lady Stamp by Altenew onto a watercolour card with Pumice Stone Distress Ink for no line colouring.
  • I used pink, red and light pink Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers to colour the flower petals and light green for the leaves. The stem was a light green softened with water.
  • After the panel was dry I used the rectangle die by Lawn Fawn to give the edge a faux stitched border.
  • I used a larger die to cut out from the same die set (5×4.25) from light mauve cardstock, for the back of the flower panel.
  • I partial cut the flower to leave a small border and adhered this panel with foam tape to the mauve panel to raise the image and give dimension.
  • I made a small banner by using the Avery Elle Banner Die set and stamped Happy Birthday from the same set in the centre of the banner. Half of the banner was adhered to the flush card using tombow glue and the right hand side of the banner had foam tape, to make it all one level.
  • The panel was then adhered to the card base with my ATG tape gun.
  • I placed a few sequins by Pretty Pink Posh to complete this card.

Beautiful-Lady-AltenewORANGE FLOWERS

  • I stamped the image of Beautiful Lady stamp by Altenew onto water colour card front with Pumice Stone on the smooth side of the watercolour panel for no line colouring.
  • I used a light orange and a darker orange Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers to colour the flower petals and light green for the leaves and a darker green for the stem.
  • After the image was dry, I used the rectangle die by Lawn Fawn to give the edge a faux stitched border.
  • I used a larger die to cut out from the same die set (5.5×4.25) to give the brown cardstock faux stitching, for the back of the flower panel.
  • I partial cut the flower to leave a small border and adhered this panel with foam tape to the brown panel to raise the image and give dimension.
  • I made a small banner by using the Avery Elle Banner Die set and stamped Happy Birthday from the same set in the centre of the banner. The front half of the banner was adhered using foam tape and for the rest I used tombow glue, to make it all one level.
  • The panel was then adhered to the card base with my ATG tape gun.
  • I placed a few sequins by Pretty Pink Posh to complete this card.

Beautiful-Lady-AltenewBLUE GRANDMOTHER CARD

  • I stamped the image of Beautiful Lady stamp by Altenew onto water colour card front with Pumice Stone Distress Ink for a no line colouring technique.
  • I used a light blue Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Marker to colour the flower petals and light green for the leaves and stem.
  • After it was dry I used the circle die by Lawn Fawn to give the edge a faux stitched border.
  • I next used a smaller circle die from the same die set to cut out four circles in dark blue cardstock and cut these in half.
  • I cut a piece of light blue cardstock the size of the card base (5.5×4.25).
  • I used the banner dies by Avery Elle and cut one for the sentiment. The sentiment (for my Grandmother) was stamped in the centre of this banner, and I mounted this at the bottom of the flower panel using foam tape.
