Postage Stamp Christmas Card

The Postage Stamp Die is great for creating small scenes on cards. I die cut the small postage stamp three times from watercolour card. From the inside pieces I die cut two snowbanks and one mountain border using the mountain border die. Using my ink blending tool I added a small amount of Tumbled Glass distress ink to the top of the snowbanks to add some depth.   On the mountain tops I used Pumice Stone with a little Ground Espresso distress inks.

I placed these on the last full piece of watercolour card to figure where to stamp my sentiment. I used a sentiment from an Avery Elle stamp set with versamark, sprinkled on white embossing powder, tapped off any excess and heat set. When this had cooled I ink blended Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet all over the card.  I used my distress sprayer to add some water droplets, let the water sit for 20-30 seconds and blotted dry with a paper towel.  I also wiped any distress ink off the sentiment.

On a piece of Bristol card I stamped the reindeers from Toboggan Together with archival jet black ink. I used various shades of brown Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers to colour the reindeers. I inked the top of the tree from the Toboggan Together stamp set with Forest Glade and the bottom with Frayed Leaf to create an ombre effect. Then die cut out everything with the co-ordinating dies.

I adhered the sky background piece on a pre-folded Hero Arts card, and used liquid glue to adhere the three frames on the top of each other to create dimension. I adhered the mountains and snowbanks to my scene. I used a small dot of glue to hold the trees in place, but used foam tape to give the reindeers some dimension. To finish the card, I added black glaze gel pen to the reindeers eyes and noses.
