Aged to Perfection ‘Cheers’

Hi, It’s Jeni. I love creating with white embossing and adding Distress inks over the embossing to create my own backgrounds.  I used the new Avery Elle clear stamp set – Sip Sip Hooray, and the coordinating dies.  All the supplies I used are listed and linked below.  I used the “Aged to Perfection” stamp to create a fun birthday card for a more ‘higher aged’ person.Cheers Avery Elle

I trimmed a piece of Neenah Solar White card to 9.5 x 14cm and stamped ‘Aged to Perfection’ and the bubbles from the Sip Sip Hooray stamp set by Avery Elle with versamark ink all over the piece. I poured superfine white embossing powder over the card, tapped off the excess and heat set.

Working on my craft sheet and using the mini distress blending tools I added Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet distress inks to the panel, starting off the card and gently blending the ink onto the panel. I wiped off the ink from the embossing areas with a paper towel to make the embossing really pop!

I stamped the glasses from the same stamp set with archival jet black ink on a scrap of Bristol Smooth card and used the zig clean colour real brush markers in scarlet red, orange and yellow. I die cut the glasses with the co-ordinating die.  I also die cut the ‘Cheers’ from Bristol Smooth and added Wilted Violet distress ink over the sentiment, then used liquid glue to adhere it to a strip of white card.

I trimmed a stripe of purple glitter card to 1.5 x 14cm and glued this to the left hand side of the card base.Cheers Avery Elle

I trimmed the Bazzill Marshmallow 8.5×11 sheet in half long ways and scored it halfway. I adhered the embossed piece on to this card, I glued the banner so that it is third of the way up from the bottom and added the glasses with foam tape to the side of the sentiment.

For the “Let the Fun Begin” blue card in the first photograph, I used Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress inks.  I coloured the drinks with Yellow Zig markers and used some blue glitter card.
