Hello, In February we introduced Visible Image clear stamps to The Little Paper Tree. We both love these clear stamps and the wonderful unique designs. I wanted to play with the Visible Image stamps and Distress Inks.
I used a piece of watercolour card trimmed to 11 x 14cm and heat embossed the unicorn and sentiment from the Believe In Unicorns.
I stamped the images with Versamark ink, poured on some white embossing powder, taped off the excess and heat set until all the embossing powder had melted.
Next, I used Distress Inks to add some light colour over the whole panel. The colours I used are Seedless Preserves and Faded Jeans. Using my heat gun to make sure the ink was completely dry. Then I stamped the clouds from the same stamp set with Versamark and used clear embossing powder. The clear embossing powder with let the colours below show through any ink blending.
To add some more deeper colour I used the same Distress Ink colours and ink blended more colour over the whole panel. I spritzed some water onto this panel with my Distress Sprayer, let the water sit for 20 – 30 seconds and blotted it dry with a paper towel.
Finishing The Card
I wiped off any Distress ink from the embossed areas – which really helps the images pop, and added some little dots of glue for the Sparkling Star confetti. I added this card panel onto a card base made from Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock.
I hope you enjoyed this card making tutorial. Which is your favourite Visible Image stamp set?
