Creating a background with one stamp

Hi, I love all the stamps by Concord and 9th but I wanted to find a new way to use the flower center stamp from the Pretty Petals stamp set.

Background Stamping

I decided to create my own background pattern.  First, I trim some smooth white Neenah card to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and started stamping.  Starting at the bottom of the card and worked out and up using different colours of ink by Hero Arts. I used Soft Pool and Pale Tomato from the Quiet Afternoon ink set, and the Tide Pool, Soft Granite, and Orange Soda from the Summer Splash stamp set.  Making sure to rotate the stamp, and try not to get the same colours next to each other.

Sentiment

I trim another piece of Neenah card to use as my sentiment strip.  Stamping “Hello Lovely” with black ink and adhering this to the background pattern.  Next, I adhere this whole piece to a top folding card base made from some Marshmallow card, and decide to add some shine with some sparkly sequins from a few different sequin shaker mixes.

This is a multi seasonal style of card. Use different colour combinations for different seasons.  Cool blues for Winter. Reds, yellows and orange for Autumn, Bright shades for Summer and softer shades for Spring.
