Hello, this clear stamp set Hello Lovely by Concord & 9th has to be my favourite! I love colouring in the flowers and leaves. All the supplies I used are listed at the end of this post, and linked to the shop.
Ink Blending
To make this card I trimmed a piece of Bristol Smooth panel to 11x14cm, using my craft mat I ink blended Candied Apple Distress Ink. I added more colour at the bottom and used less pressure to get a lighter shade towards the middle of the card.
My favourite thing about Distress Ink is that they are re-active with water. I spritzed some water droplets with my Distress Sprayer (let the water sit for about 10 seconds then blotted dry with a paper towel).
Stamping
I stamped the word ‘lovely’ using the Hello Lovely stamp set by Concord & 9th near the bottom of the card and ‘Happy Birthday’ with Archival Black Ink. Then added this panel to the card base.
I stamped the floral image from the Hello Lovely stamp set onto water colour card with Archival Jet Black ink.
Colouring
To colour in this image I used the Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers, a paint brush and some clean water. I added the colour from the marker where I wanted the darker shade and used my paint brush to pull the colour out. With Wine Red and Orange colours for the flowers and May Green and Light Green shades for the leaves.
Partial Diecutting
I partially cut a straight line from the edge of this piece and fussy cut around the leaves and orange flower with scissors. Adding foam tape all over the back of this piece and behind the leaves and adhered this to the top of the card and cut off any overhang. Currently I am loving watercolouring this floral stamp!
