Hello, we are working on some craft tutorial videos for The Little Paper Tree this year. We are excited about this but still learning some editing skills. The list of supplies used for this card are at the end of this blog post, and are linked to the products over at the shop. Let’s get onto the card tutorial.
I couldn’t wait to play with this new Pegasus Duo stamp set by Avery Elle. I die cut the largest Cross stitched rectangle from some purple paper, and the second largest Cross stitched circle from the top centre. I planned on using the other side of the purple paper in the circle (but I felt that it didn’t look right, so I used some grey dotty paper).
I stamped the flying Pegasus on Bristol smooth card with Archival black ink. I coloured it in with the Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers. I used Violet and Light Violet for the body. The tail and mane are English Lavender – blended out with clear Wink of Stella glitter pen. Check out the video below, or on You Tube to see the colouring.
The green zigzag paper (the other side of the purple paper) didn’t look right, so I trimmed a piece of grey dotty paper to go behind the circle, and another pierced banner with an Avery Elle die. I adhered the grey paper to a 11x14cm card base, and used foam tape to pop up the purple paper. The Pegasus is also on foam tape.
I stamped the sentiment on the banner and used tape foam behind this piece also.
To finish this card, I added Glacier White and Grape Soda Enamel Accents and White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter drops. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and the video. At the start of the video I showed a green version of this card. This stamp set lends itself to so many different colour combinations.
