Hello, it’s Janet with a cute and playful Christmas card. The newest release from Heffy Doodle is now in stock and I couldn’t wait to play with these new cute clear stamp sets. I’ve teamed a Concord and 9th stamp with the elves to make this cute card.
Background & Colouring
For the background, I stamped the Plaid background stamp with My Favourite Things ink in Jellybean Green onto white card. Stamping the boy elf and the jack in the box multiple times onto Bristol card with Archival Jet black ink, so I could use the Zig Clean Colour markers to colour in all my images. I have listed the number and name of the markers I used in the supply list below. (I did also stamp and colour the Elf girl – but Jeni “borrowed” it for a slider card).
The coordinating dies for all the Heffy Doodle stamps are available to order. Personally, I love having the co-ordinating dies. I trim the green plaid background to 7cm wide. Then adhere the elves and jack in the boxes to this panel so they are standing in a line, and trim any little pieces that are hanging over the edge. The sentiment is stamped with Versafine ink and I used clear embossing powder so I could have a nice shiny greeting. I trim the card that I’d stamped on to 3cm high, and another piece of white card to 2cm.
Finishing The Card
Adhering these two white card pieces to the top and bottom of a side folding card base and used foam tape for the Plaid piece. This was such a fun card to make and I can’t wait to see what you make with the Elfish Antics and Warm Hugs stamp sets.
