Simple Merry Christmas Cards

Hello, its Janet with some really simple and easy to make Christmas cards that look so effective! I love the uniqueness of this die. It cuts a banner strip from your card and leaves the sentiment “Merry Christmas”.  All the products are linked and listed at the bottom of this post.

I die cut the sentiment border three times from some Solar White card which I’d already trimmed to 14 x 11cm.  With the bough stamp from the Seasonal Borders stamp set, that I placed in my Stamp Platform I stamped with Distress Oxides.

Blue Card

On this first card I used Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide.  I thought the sentiment would look gorgeous white on white with just a little shadow.  So I cut tiny little pieces of foam tape to go behind all the letters and little pieces (the tail of the R) so there would be support behind the whole sentiment and nothing would be squashed in the post.  To add some sparkle to this card I placed some sparkling blue sequins and star confetti from a Little Things Sequin Shaker Mix.

Green Card

After cutting all those teeny tiny pieces of foam tape I chose to make this next card I little easier.  I diecut the sentiment from several pieces of craft cardstock and layered these behind the white card.  This was so much easier!  I just needed the Fine Tip precision applicator on my glue to help me get tiny little dots of glue, and trimmed off any excess craft card that was overhanging the white card.

I stamped the Bough stamp with Lucky Clover to get a more traditional Christmas card.  On a scrap of white card I used the direct to paper technique with the Lucky Clover oxide ink to make some green card that would match my stamping.  With little dots of glue behind the layered piece and adhered the green paper behind the sentiment.

Grey Card

This may be the easiest of the three cards.  I stamped with Iced Spruce (my absolutely favourite colour), and did the same direct to paper method to get the matching colour of card for behind the sentiment.  Then adhered all three of these panels to a 14 x 11cm card base.
