It’s Janet again. This time I wanted to try and make a decoupage card with the stamps I have, so make this card below… hope you like it.
Using Patterned Paper As A Background
Using a piece of patterned paper cut to 10.5 cm x 13cm (from the American Crafts Shimelle “Little by Little” paper pad) and adhered this to a 11cm x 14cm card base.
Stamping
Using the flower design stamp from the Hummingbird stamp set by Avery Elle I stamped this in CPD Daydream ink onto a Neenah panel 9cm x 12cm. I also stamped the small flower head twice more in CPD Juniper Mist ink.
The two smaller flower heads were then diecut using the coordinating dies. As I wanted to try the decoupage look, I fussy cut out by hand – one was cut leaving three petals and flower head and the other two petals and flower head.
These flowers were then adhered to the stamped image (three petals first and two on top) using foam tape.
Sentiment
The sentiment ‘Have a Wonderful Birthday’ was from the same stamp set and was stamped using the Juniper Mist ink onto an angled banner strip. What do you think of this card? Leave a comment telling me what colour inks you would have used?
