Focus On The Good – Simple Stamping by Jeni

Hi, I have a clean and simple stamped one layer card to share today, actually two cards (well three cards but only two in the video).  I used ten Catherine Pooler inks, and Midnight black and one Catherine Pooler clear stamp set. All the supplies I used for all the cards are the same and are listed below and over in the YouTube description.

These cards are quite easy to make in many different colour combos for different needs. For all the cards I stamped the sentiment first and created a pattern with the flower and leaf outline stamps to fill in all the space.  I then stamped over the outlines with the solid stamps in different colours. I kept each flower/leaf the same colour and didn’t worry about stamping perfectly inside the lines.

You can see the process in the video below – remember to leave a thumbs up, a comment and to subscribe to our channel so you don’t miss any future videos.

I used Fiesta Blue, It’s A Boy, Lime Rickey and Garden Party for the blue card.  I filled in any spaces with the little dot stamp and Sauna ink. I trimmed around all four edges to have a border.  I used the direct to paper technique with It’s A Boy ink on another piece of white card and when this was dry I adhered this piece and the stamped panel to a standard A2 sized card base.

I used Tutti Frutti, Mandarin Spice, Bellini and Green Tea, with Sauna as the center of the flowers and to add to the pattern for the orange card.  I made sure to stamp over the edges of the card so the pattern would look as if it is from a larger sheet of paper.  For this card I cut it in half at an angle and added a strip of card coloured with Tutti Frutti (same direct to paper technique as above) ink to break up the pattern.  I adhered the strip to the bottom half of the stamped piece and mounted this to the card base.  Then trimmed a tiny stripe from the top half and adhered this to the card base.  By cutting a tiny strip from the stamped piece helps the design look more continuous.

I used Royal Treatment, Sugared Lavender, Green Tea and Eucalyptus for the purple card.  I cut above and below the sentiment and popped this part up on foam tape to the card base with the top and bottom flat to the card. To help sentiment strip stand out I added small stripes of gold glitter paper.

And my three cards using the same stamp set and same design are finished.  By changing the ink colours and sentiment you can recreate this for many different occasions.
