Hi everyone, Claire here again. It’s been so cold outside this week, the perfect weather for staying warm up in my craft room I say!
I absolutely love colouring birds, of any kind, but this hummingbird is my new favourite. There are so many colour combos you could use on him. This time, I’ve gone with my favourites, blue, green and gold.

Background
I blended some Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink on a white piece of card, fading it out from top right to bottom left. And flicked on some water droplets and blue ink.
Why have just one frame die-cut on a card when you can have 2? I die-cut the Avery Elle Wonky Scalloped Frames in pearlised gold card and attached that all to a navy blue card blank.
Colouring
The hummingbird and flowers were stamped and coloured with Copic markers. I fussy cut them and tucked the top of the branch into the outside frame. I didn’t want the sentiment to get lost on the card, so I fussy cut around the word “wonderful”. The finishing touch is a couple of drops of Glossy Accents on the stems and the hummingbird’s eye.
This card is going to be a thank you to an amazing friend. I think it’s the perfect time of year for telling people how wonderful they are!
