Janet’s Top 10 Favourite Products

posted in: Blog, Janet 1

Hello, Janet here. I haven’t done a favourite product post for a while so I thought I would share my current favourites – in no particular order.  Click on all image or underlined word to find the products in the shop.

  1. Tim Holtz Distress Oxides

I love the Distress Oxides! I find these are easier to ink blend with and give such a smooth coverage.  You can stamp with these inks and heat emboss – so no more need to had hundreds of coloured embossing powder.  We are fully stocked with all the colours currently available and are expected the latest 12 colours very shortly.  What is your favourite Distress Oxide colour? Is it the same as your favourite Distress Ink colour?

2. Honey Bee Little Ladies clear stamp

The Little Ladies clear stamp set is so versatile.  I love being able to pick which face to add to my ladybug.  There are so many different bodies – from walking to flying to sitting.  This is such a great stamp set to have.  The coordinating dies are also a must have for me too!  Find the coordinating dies HERE

3. Concord & 9th Turnabout Stamps

The turnabout stamps by Concord and 9th are so unique and amazing! I love them all but I think my favourite is the Triangle turnabout.  I love geometric designs and I love the pattern this stamp makes.  Find all the turnabout stamps in stock HERE

4. Nuvo Shimmer Powder

I haven’t had much time to play with these powders but I do love them!  You just need a small tap – a little powder goes a long way!  Each colour has a mix of colours in them – the Violet Brocade (my favourite) is purple, but also has blues. Simply you just need to add water.  You can use them to make a ‘paint’ for your backgrounds or just tap on the powder and spray with water.

5. Avery Elle Peek A Boo Pals stamp set

I have been a lover of Avery Elle stamps for years, and as soon as I saw these I knew we needed to stock them.  The critters are so cute with the added option of adding their paws up on foam tape so they can be peeking out from a window or frame.  Jeni has a video tutorial on YouTube using this stamp set and the coordinating dies – you can watch it HERE

6. Catherine Pooler Designs Swoop Stencil.

We have the full range of Catherine’s stencils in stock but this Swoop stencil is my favourite!  It is so unique in it’s design and perfect for so many occasions and needs.

7. Catherine Pooler Designs Spring Fling Ink collection.

I love all the inks but the Spring Fling collection is my hands down favourite!  I love the soft pastel shades.  These inks are so easy to stamp with.  You can ink blend, do direct to paper, watercolour and even use clear embossing powder to get coloured embossed designs.  (My favourite colour is purple). The latest colour is Coral Cabana.  You can see all the Catherine Pooler ink colours HERE.

8. Canson Bristol XL Recycled card.

If you find the Strathmore Bristol card difficult to use, the Canson Bristol XL card easier to ink blend with the Distress inks, Distress oxides and Catherine Pooler inks. You can still use your Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers too.

9. My Favourite Things Anything But Basic Friendship clear stamp set.

I love all the sentiments in this set.  You can make so many cards with this set.

10. iCraft Purple Tape.

You can use washi tape to hold down your dies and stencils but this Purple Tape really is as good as it seems.  It is nice and wide. Holds down dies and stencils securely and removes so easier. No pulling on your card or the risk of your card tearing.  It can last a long time if you reuse the tape as much as possible.

Well, here are my Top 10 Favourite Products right now.  All these products are currently in stock – you can find them in the shop by clicking on any image or underlined word.

Thanks for reading to the end.
