Rainbow Puppy Kisses by Alison

In keeping with the rainbow theme for this month’s blog posts I have used inks in the seven colours of the rainbow with Concord & 9th’s Puppy Kisses stamp set.
To begin I cut a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock into a 5 inch square and placed it in my stamping platform. Using all 7 dogs and the colours of ink listed below, I stamped 2/3 of each dog. Allowing some to overlap the edge of the page. I then filled any gaps with the heart outline stamp from the set.
I then cut a strip of white vellum to 1.5 inches by 7 inches. I rubbed an anti-static bag over the vellum and then stamped the small dog and one of the sentiments using versamark ink. I then sprinkled with silver embossing powder and heat set it using a pre-heated heat gun.
I stuck the dog topper onto a piece of grey card with tombow mono glue and trimmed it leaving a small border. I then wrapped the vellum strip around the topper and glued it on the reverse with double sided tape.
On a 6 inch square card blank I stuck a piece of 5.75 inch square heart paper, this came free with April’s making card magazine. I then stuck the topper to this.
