Hi, it’s Janet with three CAS (Clean and Simple) cards I used the new Avery Elle release. The Rays Die gives a delightful background as it is so versatile that it can be used again and again – it seems to be very popular. We sold out in a few days and are waiting for Avery Elle to manufacture more! All the products that I used are listed in the supply list at the bottom of this post with links to The Little Paper Tree online shop.
Stamp Set
The Cake For All clear stamp set has seven sentiments ranging from Happy Birthday and Congratulations to Happy Retirement, Get Well Soon and Happy Graduation. There are sparkles you can add to the cake and lots of flower and leaf clusters. I have two mostly white cards to share with you today and one bonus bright card at the end.
Congratulations
For my first card I die cut the Ray cover plate die from Catherine Pooler premium white card. I stamped the cake and three flowers from the Cake For All clear stamp set with Archival Jet Black ink onto Bristol card. Stamping a sentiment onto the cake before used my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers to colour in all the images.
The colours I used will be in the supply list below. I used the darker colour for the shadows, and one colour on the flower, going over the colour multiple times at the bottom of the flower to add the shadow. Once they were die cut with the coordinating dies I started putting my card together. Do you think the adhered the flowers look like sugar decorations? The Ray die is slightly smaller than a standard A2 sized card and leaves a nice border. Then adhered this to a card base and adhered the cake over the circle gap.
Happy Birthday
This is the Arrow mat die also from the latest Avery Elle release. The cake on the stand and one flower is coloured with Zig Markers, as noted below.
The Arrow mat die gives you two pieces with the outside die gives an arrow decorated frame and the centre die gives this chevron pattern. Stamping the sentiment “Happy Birthday” onto the cake with Mardi Gras ink before foam mounting the cake in the centre of the card over the chevron pattern on the left hand side of a card base.
That’s two down one bonus card to go!
Bonus Card
For the above card I repeat stamped the sparkles image with Tiki Torch ink to create an explosive background pattern. Foam mounted the outer frame from the Arrow mat die to frame the stamping and stamped “Happy Birthday” with black ink onto a banner, then trimmed this into a flat ended pennant, and foam mounted this to the card.
I hope you like these clean and simple cards made using only a few stamps, dies and Zig Markers. Let me know which is your favourite in the comments below.
