Have you seen the To Go Gift cardholder die by Catherine Pooler? I have two ‘cards’ that use the Best In Patch and Pumpkin Season stamp sets. There are two dies in this set to make the take out cup with gift card holders, and the cup sleeve to slip in the take out cup and hide the gift card. Trim off the two flaps to use this die on as a traditional card. Watch the video tutorial below or over on YouTube here. Read on for the written tutorial.
Randomly stamp the flowers and leaves to create a background pattern. I use Sauna, Mandarin Spice, Eucalyptus and Green Tea inks. Rotating the stamps so they are all in different directions. Stamp off the edges and over the creases in the sleeve die to make this look like it has been cut from a larger piece of card. The card I use is Bristol vellum.
The take out card insert is ink blending with Sauna at the top, Green Tea in the middle and Eucalptyus at the bottom. I want to keep the middle (where the gift card will be) light so I can still write a message. Fold the two flaps and adhere them together.
The bonus card also uses the pumpkins from Pumpkin Season stamp set. With Daydream ink, I stamp with 2nd generation for the solid pumpkin and 1st generation for the pumpkin layer. The pumpkin stalk is Juniper Mist.
The stamped pattern for the cup sleeve is Daydream, Juniper Mist and Mandarin Spice for a pop of contrasting colour. The ink blending for the inside take out cup is Juniper Mist. Keeping the middle lighter. For this To Go Gift card, I use Neenah Solar White card.
