BLOG & SOCIAL TEAM
Jeni is Guernsey born with two older brothers, and two gorgeous nephews (one furry, one human) and one adorable fur daughter called Milly. She loves colouring floral and cute critters stamps and making scene cards and interactive cards but can do grungy mixed media now and then. Jeni loves showing how to get more use out of your craft products in YouTube videos.
She studied IT & Fine Art at college and can now put those skills to use at The Little Paper Tree. She started paper crafting with American brands. The dream of The Little Paper Tree (not this name yet) began while living in New Zealand, and eventually, everything fell into place to make this happen! Jeni needs to have something to do for relaxing (her brain never stops!!!) and enjoys knitting, cross-stitching and crocheting in the evenings.
Hi, I’m Tasha!
I’m from the UK and I’m married with two wonderful children. I have hEDS and I’m always looking for ways to allow me to work around my disabilities, especially in the craft room! I’m passionate about crafty therapy and I just make what makes me happy!
I am currently working my way through my Altenew Educator Certification Programme and I love to help, so if you have a question about anything I make then just give me a shout!!
I’m Jenny (A.K.A Ginger Ninja Crafts!) and I live in a village just south of Edinburgh with my husband and our three cats, who are definitely in charge! I have loved crafting for as long as I can remember, especially paper crafts and cross-stitch. And I have a slight addiction to stamping and die cutting and getting inspiration from blogs, Instagram and youtube crafters.
Mostly I make cards, but I have dabbled in scrapbooking, mixed media, junk journals and mini albums. I worked in NHS mental health services for 20 years before changing the pace of life and starting my own Etsy business selling handmade cards and invitations.
I love connecting with crafty people on social media and my blog. I’m really grateful for the opportunity to be a guest designer on the Little Paper Tree.
My name is Maria Grimshaw and I live in Barnsley, South Yorkshire with my husband Ian and my little Jack Russell, Belle, who we adopted from a rescue centre.
I have been crafting, in some form or other, since I was at Junior school when we were taught cross stitch, I loved sewing lessons and continued this through secondary school. My love of papercraft came when I was looking for wedding invitations and couldn’t believe how much they cost. After a trip to the Hobbycraft exhibition, I learnt how to stamp and emboss and made my own wedding stationery. That was it then, I was hooked and never looked back since. In my last job I was an Art and Design Technician in a Senior School so spent a lot of my time doing the things I love. Unfortunately, I was made redundant last year due to educational cutbacks and the team were gutted to lose me, but these things happen.
Now I spend my days caring for my Father who has Alzheimer’s, looking after Belle and getting my fingers very messy. I love stamping, stencilling and colouring. Also, use a die cutter and love to just experiment with colours and I like to dabble into mixed media using MDF and greyboard and making my own backgrounds with texture pastes etc. I still do a bit of sewing now and again.
Hi! I’m Rachel, I live in the Lake District and I love all things card making! I’m an accountant by day but card making is my absolute passion! I first learned all about crafting from my grandma and I love trying new techniques and creating beautiful cards. I’m looking forward to sharing my makes with you.
Meet Janet… The roots that hold us all together…
Janet was born in Guernsey Channel Islands and has been involved in various crafting projects throughout her life. She has experience in tapestry, knitting, embroidery, dressmaking, card making, scrapbooking, watercolour artwork, and is learning to crochet.
The card making and scrapbooking came about when Jeni (her daughter) introduced her to this craft in New Zealand and she hasn’t stopped since! She likes clean and simple cards and interactive cards best. She also likes mixed media projects in which she has made 3D projects such as Advert Calendars, mini albums and more!
Her dream is to own her own paper crafting bricks and mortar shop. Crafting has always been a part of Janet’s life, her mother (Violet) was making embroidery blankets of her own designs and also crochet blankets for family and friends. Janet has three children, two boys and a girl if you can call them children as they are all adults now, and three grandchildren. Two furry ones with wagging tails – Spot (a Sharpei Cross) and Milly (a JackChi), and one human one called Layne.
