Janet was born in Guernsey Channel Islands and has been involved in various crafting projects throughout her life. She has experience in tapestry, knitting, embroidery, dressmaking, card making, scrapbooking, watercolour artwork, and is learning to crochet.
The card making and scrapbooking came about when Jeni (her daughter) introduced her to this craft in New Zealand and she hasn’t stopped since! She likes the clean and simple cards and interactive cards best. She also likes mixed media projects in which she has made 3D projects such as Advert Calendars, mini albums and more!
Her dream is to own her own paper crafting bricks and mortar shop. Crafting has always been a part of Janet’s life, her mother (Violet) was making embroidery blankets of her own designs and also crochet blankets for family and friends. Janet has three children, two boys and a girl if you can call them children as they are all adults now, and three grandchildren. Two furry ones with wagging tails – Spot (a Sharpei Cross) and Milly (a JackChi), and one human one called Layne.
Jeni is Guernsey born with two older brothers, and two gorgeous nephews (one furry, one human) and one adorable fur daughter called Milly. She loves colouring floral and cute critters stamps and making scene cards and interactive cards but can do grungy mixed media now and then. Jeni loves showing how to get more use out of your craft products in YouTube videos.
She studied IT & Fine Art at college and can now put those skills to use at The Little Paper Tree. She started paper crafting with American brands. The dream of The Little Paper Tree (not this name yet) began while living in New Zealand, and eventually, everything fell into place to make this happen! Jeni needs to have something to do for relaxing (her brain never stops!!!) and enjoys knitting, cross-stitching and crocheting in the evenings. Jeni released her own range of stamps, Sunshine & Bee Designs in 2019.
Laura Whelan is an American living (the dream) in Ireland. It started with a lifelong addiction to stationery and having a very talented mom who’s superpower was crafting. Having grown up with her mother’s at-home, sewing craft business, Laura was bound to get involved in something crafty herself! Craftiness must be ingrained in her blood, and if she doesn’t already know how to do it, she can’t wait to learn how. Laura especially loves coming up with new designs that were specially made with the recipient in mind. When she’s not busy running after her own daughter, you can find Laura in her craft room making cards and other home items that she shares on her blog and Etsy shop.
My name is Maria Grimshaw and I live in Barnsley, South Yorkshire with my husband Ian and my little Jack Russell, Belle, who we adopted from a rescue centre.
I have been crafting, in some form or other, since I was at Junior school when we were taught cross stitch, I loved sewing lessons and continued this through secondary school. My love of papercraft came when I was looking for wedding invitations and couldn’t believe how much they cost. After a trip to the Hobbycraft exhibition, I learnt how to stamp and emboss and made my own wedding stationery. That was it then, I was hooked and never looked back since. In my last job I was an Art and Design Technician in a Senior School so spent a lot of my time doing the things I love. Unfortunately, I was made redundant last year due to educational cutbacks and the team were gutted to lose me, but these things happen.
Now I spend my days caring for my Father who has Alzheimer’s, looking after Belle and getting my fingers very messy. I love stamping, stencilling and colouring. Also, use a die cutter and love to just experiment with colours and I like to dabble into mixed media using MDF and greyboard and making my own backgrounds with texture pastes etc. I still do a bit of sewing now and again.
Hello Papertree Tribe!
I’m Elaine and thrilled to be part of the team.
I have been crafting for approximately 16 years and I love it. It’s a form of escape from the boring day to day stuff.
Love any papercraft but my style is clean and simple. However, I do love to try anything. My passion is stamps and pretty papers, I’m looking forward to be working with some great brands.

My name is Helen and I’m a card making addict! I love stamps, digi stamps, pretty papers and my Promarkers. I’ve been making cards for many years and love sharing what I create and learning from others. My card making style is clean and simple although I always like to add a few layers too. I live in the north-west of England and work full time as an Activities Coordinator in a care home – during the day you’re likely to find me singing, calling bingo, crafting or playing darts (magnetic only!).

Hi, I am Verity and I live in Liverpool, in the UK.
I love to create beautiful projects whenever I can and you’ll often find me in my craft room. Being creative and using a variety of techniques/media to create fun and unique projects bring me joy and I love to share that with others.
My main passion lies with Papercrafting, however, I will always turn my hand to a new project or craft any chance I get.
