Hi, are you a slimline card convert? I still enjoy making standard A2 size cards but I enjoy the different size of slimline cards. In today’s video I make two watercolour rainbow backgrounds with Catherine Pooler refills and mix up some slimline dies by CPD and Pinkfresh Studios.
Like this video? Please give it a big thumbs up (you can do this on Youtube, right under the video) and share it with a crafty friend! Leave a comment too, we love hearing from you.
I work on XL Watercolour card as it is strong enough to hold a LOT of water.
- Date Night refills colours – Do-Si-Do, Catching Rays, Chffion, In The Park, Serenade
- Spring Fling refill colours – It’s A Girl, Bellini, Melon Ice, Garden Party, It’s A Boy and Sweet
I only use the Date Night rainbow background for these two cards and will share the video process for the Spring Fling rainbow background later this week.
While the backgrounds dry (I left them overnight), stamp the three butterflies from Just Soar stamp set, and die cut with the coordinating dies.
Catherine Pooler Designs Post This slimline die – stitched rectangle die from the watercoloured rainbow card (blue/green area) and white card.
Stamp the sentiment in the middle circle of the blue/green panel. Foam mount the butterflies around the card.
Pinkfresh Studios Slim Stitched rectangle die – largest stitched die from white card, largest solid rectangle from black card. The smallest stitched rectangle die from black, and smallest solid rectangle from watercoloured rainbow.
I then adhere both slimline cards onto slimline sized card bases made from Not Your Mama 130lb card stock to fit the largest rectangle die in the Pinkfresh Studios die set.
