Spotlight Colouring with Helen

Selectively colour the With Sympathy stamp set by Trinity Stamps. An easy way to add some colour on a sympathy card, without going overboard. And a great way to get more use out of your stamps for quick cards. Find the products used listed in this tutorial (green words) with a full list of all basic crafting needs linked at the bottom.

1. Cut two pieces of white card measuring 10.5cm by 8cm. Stamp the main image from the stamp set on each piece (picture below).  This easiest way is to use a stamping platform to ensure the image is stamped in the same place on each piece of card.

2. Next, cut down one of the panels so it looks like it has been cut from the middle of the main image.  The smaller panel should measure 6.5cm by 4cm. Trim 2cm from each edge of the larger panel thus reducing it equally on all sides.

3. Next colour the smaller panel (picture above).  Then attach the panel to a piece of 7cm by 4.5cm black paper and attach over the larger panel, fitting it into the original stamped image.  It is easier to use glue for this step so you have some wriggle room to ensure the two stamped images line up properly.

4. Stamp the ‘with sympathy’ sentiment on to the base of the front of a C6 card blank. Attach the panel above this and finish with black gems.
