Hey Crafty People! Today I’m sharing some super simple backgrounds ft. new Luxe Inks from Catherine Pooler.
I’ve got a Reel over on Instagram, so be sure to head there to see just how easy these backgrounds really are!!!
Cranberry Sparkle, Flame & Glitz
I swiped each ink pad in turn, diagonally, onto an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb cardstock. That’s literally all I did! 😂
I stamped the Giraffe from the new Take A Peek stamp set, in Midnight ink along with a cute bowtie stamped in Flame; then I die cut these images and glued them onto my background.
For my sentiment, I used the Happy Birthday Many Ways stamp set, which is an oldie but a goodie! (I didn’t want to mess up my card at this point, so I used my MISTI to get the best results.)
Dress Blues, Uptown & Glam
For this background I swiped the ink pads horizontally, purposely stopping without getting all of the way across the panel.
I stamped out the Zebra from the same Take A Peek set, again in Midnight but I stamped the fun party blowout thingy-ma-bob in Uptown; then I die cut both images.
So that I could get my party blowout to sit in my Zebra’s mouth, I used a craft knife and self healing mat to cut a slit between the Zebra’s lips.
I used a different sentiment from the same Happy Birthday Many Ways stamp set.
No card is complete without some bling, so I added some iridescent sequins from the Vegas Baby sequin mix.
Don’t forget to check out the fun Reel I’ve got over on IG showing how I made them!
As always I am so grateful for you spending this time with me!
I’ll be back next week for more inspiration!
Stay Crafty!!!
