Hello Butterfly

These beautiful cards were made using the Altenew Painted Butterflies Stamps.  With these stamps there are three parts to the stamping process.   The first part is stamping the outline, which I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock. Then I used Altenew inks in Caramel Toffee (for the top butterfly) and Frosty Pink (for the bottom butterfly). On top of the Caramel Toffee I used Paper Bag and on top of the Frosty Pink I used Coral … Read More

DISTRESS THANK YOU CARDS

Hi, Janet here again, as a change from making all your Christmas Cards, why not try making these Thank You cards to send after Christmas or throughout the year. They were made using the Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Stencils, and are really easy to make. I first had to distress the front sheet, (I used watercolour paper). To get the two tone shading on the background I used the lightest shades of distress ink . Gently moving over the … Read More

Watercoloured Floral Art Frame

I always try to make handmade gifts for Christmas.  My Gran has a lot of grandchildren and great grandchildren so it can be difficult to find something to give her for Christmas.  This year I decided to get a picture frame and make a piece of art to go inside.  I love these flower stamps and the fact that they look like they are watercoloured!  You can easily just stamp the solid layer and the other layers and get a … Read More

Peek A Boo Window Card

I traced the window frame onto a piece of cardstock and used my craft knife to cut out these rectangles, which I kept to one side so I could make another card later. I have created a template that you can use to … Read More

Happy Holidays Fuse Shaker Card

Hello, this is my first shaker card using the Fuse Tool.  It was surprisingly easy to use.  As it gets very hot you have to be very careful not to touch the silver part only the blue handle!!  Links to buy these products are listed at the end of this post.   Firstly, I cut all the cardstock pieces needed for this card. The Base card is 5.5 x 4.25 inches, and another piece slightly smaller to leave a border on the … Read More

How To: Change The Viking Stamp

I love the “I’ve taken a Viking to you” sentiment but I want to be able to use the Viking for birthday cards, with a different sentiment. There are three ways to do selective inking. Stamp the image on a scrap piece of paper to create a mask to place on your stamp while you ink it up. Test the material you use for your mask.  I first used a post it but the ink went through so had so … Read More
