The Little Paper Tree is an online only paper crafting store specialising in the best of the USA brands. Our aim is to stock the widest range of US goods in March, Cambridgeshire UK, and become your go-to store for quality craft products with a great service to match! We are a mother daughter team of card makers, scrapbookers and mixed media artists. Slightly different than others, the daughter introduced the mother into crafting. Jeni started scrapbooking in 2006, and introduced Janet to mini albums and card making in 2008. We introduced a Design Team in 2018, as well as our security officer and rescue dog Milly.

We love the American brands and search for the best quality products (stamps, dies, papers, cards and embellishments) from the USA that are hard to find. We follow the top US card makers and mixed media artists to find the best products to bring to you. We love to keep our eyes out for all the new and amazing products, (and show new ways to use these great products). And love being the first craft shop to bring them to you before anyone else. We are proud to have a couple of exclusive brands that no-one else carries.

We have shared a dream of having our own paper crafting store for years and years. 2015 was the year when everything fell into place, and we could start our own family run business, The Little Paper Tree.

Working as a mother daughter team is great for us as we get along so well! When we aren’t busy working on The Little Paper Tree, we can be found in our craft room where we inspire each other. As well as the online shop, we post weekly card making techniques and ideas on our tutorial blog.

Simply we love paper, and paper comes from trees. We envision our online shop as a little sapling that will grown and get larger and stronger. The future holds more wonderful products from the best designers, craft retreats and more workshops.

Janet was born in Guernsey Channel Islands and has been involved in various crafting projects throughout her life.  She has experience in tapestry, knitting, embroidery, dress making, card making, scrapbooking, watercolour artwork, and is learning to crochet.

The card making and scrapbooking came about when Jeni (her daughter) introduced her to this craft in New Zealand and she hasn’t stopped since!  She likes the clean and simple cards and interactive cards best. She also likes mixed media projects in which she has made 3D projects such as Advert Calendars, mini albums and more!

Her dream is to own her own paper crafting bricks and mortar shop. Crafting has always been a part of Janet’s life, her mother (Violet) was making embroidery blankets of her own designs and also crochet blankets for family and friends. Janet has three children, two boys and a girl if you can call them children as they are all adults now, and three grandchildren. Two furry ones with wagging tails –  Spot (a Sharpei Cross) and Milly (a JackChi), and one human one called Layne.

Jeni is Guernsey born with two older brothers, and two gorgeous nephews (one furry, one human) and one adorable fur daughter called Milly. She loves colouring floral and cute critters stamps and making scene cards and interactive cards but can do grungy mixed media now and then. Jeni loves showing how to get more use out of your craft products in YouTube videos.

She studied IT & Fine Art at college and can now put those skills to use at The Little Paper Tree.  She started paper crafting with American brands.  The dream of The Little Paper Tree (not this name yet) began while living in New Zealand, and eventually everything fell into place to make this happen! Jeni needs to have something to do for relaxing (her brain never stops!!!) and enjoys knitting and cross-stitching in the evenings (she is also learning to crochet).  Her dream for the future is a papercrafting store with a rescue dog, or two.

Laura Whelan is an American living (the dream) in Ireland. It started with a lifelong addiction to stationery and having a very talented mom who’s superpower was crafting. Having grown up with her mother’s at-home, sewing craft business, Laura was bound to get involved in something crafty herself! Craftiness must be ingrained in her blood, and if she doesn’t already know how to do it, she can’t wait to learn how. Laura especially loves coming up with new designs that were specially made with the recipient in mind. When she’s not busy running after her own daughter, you can find Laura in her craft room making cards and other home items that she shares on her blog and Etsy shop.
