Peek-A-Boo Disco with Avery Elle by Laura

Hello, my crafty friends! It’s Laura here today, and I’m going to share with you how to turn Avery Elle’s Ray Die into a fun disco for the newest members of their Peek-a-Boo stamp line, the Peek-a-Boo Pets. These lovable barnyard animals are just as cute as their predecessors. The concept (of the stamp design) is that the bodies and feet are seperate images so you can do fun things like have them pop out from behind something (window, border, … Read More

Geometric Washi Card by Sarah

Got a drawer full of lovely washi tapes hiding in your stash? Here’s an easy way to let some of it out to play! Cut a strip of card into triangles and wrap your choice of washi round each one. I went with 3 designs in coordinating colours. Arrange the triangles as shown, or have a play – any layout goes 🙂 Stamp a couple of textured spots in the background, carrying through the colour scheme from the tape. Stick … Read More

Saying it with Diamonds Three Cards and A Tag by Janet

Hello, Janet here with some background pattern stamping with the Say it with Diamonds Stamp by Catherine Pooler Designs. I’ve made two cards and one matching card and gift tag for Christmas. I love the diamond patterns and sentiments in the set. I can’t stop playing with it and wanted to show that it can be used for Christmas cards as well as other cards you need throughout the year. I kept to a limited colour palette for each card. … Read More

Winter Birthday Card by Jeni

Hi, it’s Jeni with a clean and simple festive birthday card.  It can be easy to get caught up in the excitement of Christmas and forget the other celebrations that happen during Winter. Both Mom and I have birthdays in Winter and I remember how difficult is was to find a birthday card in the shop (before I started making cards).  We still have to use festive wrapping paper for presents.  Today I have a clean and simple birthday card … Read More

Two Birthday Cards with SOA and Other Brands

Hello, Janet here with two birthday cards using stamps and dies from the latest Stamp Of Approval collection, some Catherine Pooler stamps and Avery Elle stamps.  I love mixing and matching brands to make my cards.  Just because your products are from different brands doesn’t mean you can’t use them together.  The Stamp Of Approval collection – Tropically Yours – is limited in number.  See more SOA inspiration HERE. For the first card I used the ‘left over’ from diecutting … Read More

Mandala Distress Oxide Birthday Card

Hi,  I was playing with some Distress Oxides and decided to try to get a loose watercoloured effect with the inks.  I love using the Many Mandala stamp set by Concord and 9th. I placed the largest mandala stamp on lid of the stamp platform and inked up the stamp with Wilted Violet.  I spritzed this lightly with water and closed the lid onto my watercolour card.  I heat set this to help it dry quicker and placed the card … Read More

Teal Green Mandala Birthday Card

Hi, welcome to the first blog post for 2018! How was your Christmas and New Years?  For us, January starts with birthdays right away so I have a birthday card to share with you today.  I have used this same design with the Many Mandala stamp set in purples before – which you can see in this video tutorial.  I stayed away from pinks and purples and went with a green colour scheme. I wasn’t sure what the final design … Read More

Loose Colouring with Zig Markers

Hello, I have an easy loose watercoloured floral card to share with you today.  I decided to make a birthday card, but you could use any sentiment you wish.  I thought the sketchy hand drawn images from the Garden Grow stamp set by Altenew would look gorgeous with a loose watercoloured look.  All the products I used are listed and linked to the shop below.  What do you think of this card? Leave a comment below.   I stamped three … Read More

Rainbow Smile Ink Blended Card

Hi, Janet here with a quick and easy card using Distress inks. I used a Smile word die to add a sentiment and some dimension in this other wise clean and simple card.   To create the rainbow background, picked a point just off center in the top right corner as my center and used Post It masking tape to block off a triangle shape.  I used my craft mat, ink blending tool and Distress Inks to add the colour. … Read More

Celebrations For Any Occasion Card

Hello, Janet here with a party themed card showcasing Avery Elle stamps and dies. I used a base card from the Blush Mixed Folded card pack by Hero Arts.  On a separate panel of Bristol Smooth I stamped three sets of glasses from the Sip Sip Hooray stamp set by Avery Elle and two banners from the Wild Birthday stamp set by Avery Elle. The glass drinks and banners were coloured in with my Zig markers.  The colours I used are … Read More
