Peek A Boo Window Card

I was inspired by my Mom (Janet) to make a Peek A Boo Winter card with the Lawn Fawn critters. All the products I used are listed and linked below – along with a template for the window. I traced the window frame onto a piece of cardstock and used my craft knife to cut out these rectangles, which I kept to one side so I could make another card later. I have created a template that you can use to … Read More

Thank You Card using Cork Pieces

I had a packet of these cork pieces on my craft desk while I was thinking of what to do for this month’s challenge.  “Thanks” seemed to be a good theme, since people will be sending Thank You cards for their Christmas presents, and these cork pieces are from the Elle’s Studio Thankful collection. Links to all the supplies I used are listed at the end of this post.   I created a 5 ¼ inch by 4 ½ inch … Read More

How To: Change The Viking Stamp

I love the “I’ve taken a Viking to you” sentiment but I want to be able to use the Viking for birthday cards, with a different sentiment. There are three ways to do selective inking. Stamp the image on a scrap piece of paper to create a mask to place on your stamp while you ink it up. Test the material you use for your mask.  I first used a post it but the ink went through so had so … Read More

Postage Stamp Christmas Card

The Postage Stamp Die is great for creating small scenes on cards. I die cut the small postage stamp three times from watercolour card. From the inside pieces I die cut two snowbanks and one mountain border using the mountain border die. Using my ink blending tool I added a small amount of Tumbled Glass distress ink to the top of the snowbanks to add some depth.   On the mountain tops I used Pumice Stone with a little Ground Espresso distress … Read More
